Apple is adding real-time collaboration to its entire iWork suite, which will allow users to simultaneously edit their presentations, documents and spreadsheets.
Apple demonstrated the new updates on stage by editing a set of Keynote slides. Groups of users will be able to add text, images, and animations to their documents in real time on the iPad, iPhone and on the web. It also introduces a public and private mode.
The updates are long overdue, as Google and Microsoft has had this functionality for years. Apple discussed the update within the context of classrooms, which will make its entire iWork suite more useful for students and workers alike.
